During 2011, Transcend experienced tremendous growth in demand for its suite of products including their full-service contact center. Additionally, doubling operational capacity in South Florida and launching offices in Boston and New York. “We are very excited about the growth we have experienced over the last year. The Walk with Walgreens Family Fun Day & Health Fair is a community-wide effort in support of the Diabetes Research Institute. The Diabetes Research Institute conducts the necessary research to find a cure for diabetes. Since the early 1970’s the Diabetes Research Institute has taken many steps in not only finding a cure but raising community awareness.

All participants of the event were asked to show their support by either walking in the event or making a donation. The Community Outreach Committee worked with friends and family members to generate donations, therefore helping Walgreens to receive over $139,000 in donations to date.  All funds raised during the event were donated to the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation.

We are very proud of the contributions made by each employee, which led to yet another successful Community Outreach event!

Feeding South Florida’s mission is to assist South Florida’s hungry in order to improve their lives. They do this by distributing food and groceries through their network of not-for-profit organizations, educating the public about the issue, and engaging our community in the fight to end hunger.

Employees of Transcend Media’s Community Outreach Committee organized a food drive in the spirit of giving. Throughout the month of November, we were able to collect over 200 donations of non-perishable food items. As an organization that prides itself on fostering a positive and supportive environment, we were extremely proud when we were able to provide Feeding South Florida with our donation right in time for Thanksgiving!

Transcend Media encourages our employees to become active members of the community. To promote this, our managers and staff joined together on Saturday, October 1, 2011 to volunteer in the 2011 Heart Walk of the Palm Beaches!

The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s signature event to raise funds for research and education to fight our nation’s number one cause of death, which, according to the Center for Disease Control, is heart disease. In 2011, nearly 350 Heart Walk events were held throughout the US to help achieve the American Heart Association’s goal.

Over 20 Transcend Media employees joined several other volunteers in what seemed to be the ultimate demonstration of teamwork. The volunteers assembled balloons, which were provided to survivors of heart disease and all of the participants of the event.
